Strategic Marketing and Communications
The Strategic Marketing and Communications (SMAC) department develop branding, marketing and communications tools, campaigns and messages to enhance and promote the reputation of SUNY Westchester Community College, build awareness within the community, drive registration of credit and non-credit courses, and communicate effectively with our stakeholders and community members. SMAC is comprised of two divisions – the Creative Communications Office and the Web Office – and reports directly to The President’s Office.

Brand Resources
The SUNY Westchester Community College Style Guide provides standards for design and writing to be used when marketing the college’s programs and services. This guide helps the college’s various offices and units promote themselves, and the college, using a consistent graphic and verbal identity in line with the college’s mission.
You can access important assets like the logo and templates for both printed and digital materials through the Downloads and Resources section of the Style Guide.
Business Cards
The Creative Communications Office coordinates business card orders for SUNY WCC employees. To request business cards, employees must fill out the online business card order form with their information, as it should appear on the card. Chatbot
The Creative Communications Office manages Chester, the chatbot available on the college website. The chatbot scans portions of the website and has a database of answers to questions that are asked. It’s important to keep your website content up-to-date to ensure the answers provided are accurate.
We review the dialogue of the chatbot daily to help improve its function. If you come across an error in the chatbot’s responses, please submit an error report to our team.
Event Kit Check-out
We lend out branded materials for use at official college events or official booths. The materials in the event kit are a photo back-drop, podium banner, and tablecloths. To request the full event kit or specific materials, submit a general request that includes information about when you will need the event kit.
