What You'll Discover Academic & Financial Counseling Our counselors start with identifying your personal, career, and educational objectives to work with you on a plan to reach your goals. Our academic counselor, Alexandra Leys, is available in person and remotely to assist you with developing educational plans, selecting and scheduling courses, assessing abilities and interests, addressing personal concerns, and career planning and job placement. Financial Counseling is also conveniently available. Café & Event Space Come enjoy your lunch or dinner at our spacious café that includes a canteen with coffee, snacks, and sandwiches. Our event space includes an oversized screen for events and live streaming. YAC (Yonkers Activity Council) with advisor Keyla Garcia-Cabrera is the primary source for student events and activism at SUNY Westchester Yonkers. It is a great leadership learning tool and provides experience with teamwork and communications. We celebrate different cultures with our festive events. Student Clubs Fashion & Style Society with advisor Juanita Alcena focuses on planning a notto-be-missed fashion show each semester. This club perfectly complements the Fashion Design & Technology program at SUNY Westchester Yonkers.

Read a library book. 02 Choose a book to read from our collection for recreation or studies. Study or do homework. 03 Reinforce your learning by working alone or with a group of peers. Read books/magazines/newspapers & internet articles for your level. The Yonkers Learning Commons is a welcoming, multi-use space including a library collection, tutoring, 12 computers for studying & homework, study resources, a private group study room, plus a printer, student supplies, and charging stations. Take advantage of the convenience of a place within the same building that you study, designed for students & faculty. Visit us before or after class, by yourself or with members of your class. Faculty IDs are available only at the Valhalla Security Office. Account Activation Activate your account with your WCC Userid at https://mywcc.sunywcc.edu and go to "Signin or Activate New Account." Microsoft Office Apps Students and faculty are given e-mail accounts which are hosted by Microsoft Office 365. Items included are 1 terabyte of online file storage and Office Apps at office.com.
