Agreement Highlights

• Delaware State University is among the top premier Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the country, while serving a diverse student population. It is located just three hours from Westchester Community College.

• WCC graduates with a 2.0 or better WCC grade point average will be guaranteed transfer admission to Delaware State University and will transfer with junior standing (if transferring 60 or more DSU equivalent credits) at the receiving institution.
• Specific programs have particular requirements as follows:
  • For the Management, B.S. degree students must complete Math 140, Statistics, for the Marketing concentration.
  • For the Mathematics Education degree, students must complete the Praxis Core (3 test) and Praxis II Secondary Mathematics Content prior.

• By virtue of completion of the A.A. or A.S. degree at WCC, all students will be waived of the lower level general education/core requirements at the receiving institution. Students will not be required to take any additional lower level general education/core requirements, unless required as a pre-requisite. This applies to all accepted students, regardless of whether a program to program equivalency exists.

• The “seminar” requirement will be waived, and the “capstone” requirement will be taken in the student’s senior year.
