Westchester Educational Opportunity Center works in partnership with employers to support their training needs and assist in filling open positions.
Customized Training
Westchester EOC consults with and develops customized training programs for employers who are interested in providing professional development opportunities for existing workers to upgrade their skills. We also partner with employers who are interested in preparing prospective workers to fill vacant positions. Our training focuses on customer service, the allied health field, office support and English for Speakers of Other Languages. Where appropriate, we emphasize “soft skills” training to make sure that individuals develop the basic competencies needed to secure and maintain employment and/or to advance in their careers.
Job Placement
Our Career Services team provides various opportunities for employers to screen and hire potential workers, through paid and unpaid internships, job fairs and presentations in our job-search seminars. We also regularly refer to companies those students and alumni who match job specifications.
