BHM Artist Spotlight: Paul Miller a.k.a. DJ Spooky That Subliminal Kid

Paul Miller is a seminal artist that bridges the 20th and 21st centuries. He is a rhythm scientist, a multimedia artist, composer, and writer whose work is socially conscious, blends genres, and global cultures. This virtual event is a 30-minute introduction to Paul Miller a.k.a. DJ Spooky’s work by investigating a selection of works including Rebirth of a Nation (Millennium Park, 2016), Paik’s Variations I-III performed at the Asia Society (2014), Artic Rhythms in partnership with National Geographic (2014), Phantom Dance Hall (2023), and File Under Futurism (1999).
