Q: Is a TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo score required?
A: No, but it is strongly recommended that students submit an English proficiency exam score. Without proof of English proficiency, your I-20 will be issued for an English Language program or Pathway Program, not a degree program. A Pathway Program is a combination of part-time ESL and part-time credit classes.
Q: When is the application Deadline?
A: For students applying from abroad, the deadline is June 15th for fall semester and November 1st for spring semester.

Q: How do I submit my application?
A: Email the complete application to intadmdocuments@sunywcc.edu. Send the individual documents as pdf’s. Do not send the application if you know that you are missing documents. Wait until you have all required documentation. We cannot process the I-20 until the package is complete.
Q: What do you accept as proof of employment?
A: A sponsor who is in the U.S. should submit a recent pay stub. A sponsor from outside the U.S. can submit a letter from their employer. The letter should include annual income and needs to be in English or translated into English. If a sponsor is retired, they should submit proof of retirement income.
Q: Does my high school diploma/transcript need to be translated and evaluated?
A: If it is in another language, it needs to be translated by an official translation service. You should submit a copy of both the original and the translation. It does not need to be evaluated.
Q: How long does it take to get an I-20?
A: Allow at least two weeks to process your application and prepare your I-20. If your application is not complete, it will take longer to prepare the I-20.

A:
International students are required to take at least 12 credits every fall and spring semester. 9 credits must be in person.Summer semester is optional.

A: No, students need to submit immunization records to the Health Office directly. IMM forms

Q: How do I register for classes?
A: After taking the placement test and submitting your immunization records, students schedule an appointment with the International Student Advisor for academic advising and course registration.
Q: When do I need to pay tuition?
A: Fall tuition is due mid-August and spring tuition is due early January. Check the website for exact dates as they change each semester.
Q: Is there a payment plan?
A: Yes, you can break the tuition into five equal payments. There is a $50 fee to enroll in the payment plan. Students can enroll in the plan on their MyWCC portal.
