Scholarship Overview
Westchester Community College Foundation Scholarships:
Students are encouraged to file their respective financial aid applications annually and as early as possible; priority deadlines for submitting these applications are listed below. Awards will not be renewed without one of the appropriate applications on file. This process will allow the college to provide a comprehensive financial assistance package in a timelier manner.
To be considered for a scholarship:
- An application is not required except for the application-based scholarships listed below. Regardless of the scholarship type, all students must file either a FAFSA (US Citizens and Permanent Residents), TAP (US Citizens and Permanent Residents), or the New York State DREAM Act Application (Dreamers, DACA or Undocumented) to be automatically considered for a Westchester Community College Foundation scholarship.

Priority Deadline for filing Financial Aid forms to be considered for a Westchester Community College Foundation Scholarships:
Upcoming Fall Semester Scholarships: Awarded for both the fall and spring semesters.
New Students: April 15th for the fall semester | Current Students: June 15th for the fall semester and must be enrolled in at least 12 credits for the upcoming fall semester.
Spring Semester Scholarships: Awarded only for the spring semester. Are not always available. However, if they are students must have one of the appropriate applications listed above on file by December 15th for the upcoming spring semester.
Award Notifications
Students who are awarded a WCCF scholarship are sent an award notice to their student email account. A thank you letter must be uploaded to the Financial Aid portal for the scholarship to be approved for disbursement. Students who receive a scholarship must maintain the minimal GPA of the designated scholarship and be enrolled in at least 12 credits in the semester/ semesters they receive the scholarship (unless otherwise noted). No students shall receive a scholarship for more than four semesters and not all scholarships are renewable.
Students who are awarded a scholarship in the fall semester will not be reviewed for any additional scholarship in the spring semester.
