Gary Klein
Dr. Gary Klein has enjoyed teaching courses in 19th and 20th century US history as well as on the American Presidency here at SUNY/Westchester Community College since 2001. Gary Klein earned his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and his M.A. and Ph. D. from the London School of Economics, all in history.
Over the course of his service to the College, Dr. Klein has earned numerous teaching honors including the SUNY Chancellor’s Award, NISOD and the WCC Foundation award.
Dr. Klein has plays a prominent role in promoting faculty development. He is an active faculty in programs of the Center for Faculty, he founded the Junior Faculty Association program and the “No-Pressure Observation “ program which provides resources for teaching observations of faculty. In addition to history, Dr. Klein is an avid sports fan and swears his allegiance, in the best and worst of times, to the New York Mets.
