Mission Statement
The Office of the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs is committed to providing services and programs that promote the College’s mission and academic goals. The Office will provide current and accurate academic information as well as resources and tools to assist faculty to deliver quality programs and enable students to achieve timely degree completion.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and manage campus-wide curricular and academic policy development and revision
- Serves as college liaison to the State University of New York (SUNY) and New York State Education Department (NYSED) on academic related matters
- Provides workshops on issues related to course and program development
- Administers and supports the Degree Works audit system
- Provides resources, tools, and training to faculty to ensure student success and timely degree completion
- Ensures that assessment and program review are occurring on schedule and supported by Academic Affairs
- Coordinates faculty advisement of students with sophomore standing
- Supports faculty in the graduation audit process
- Administers campus-wide course evaluations for credit-bearing courses
- Manages the transfer articulation process with four-year institutions
- Coordinates the annual campus-wide Academic Recognition Ceremony
