Planning
Westchester Community College’s comprehensive and ongoing process of institutional planning is based on an active culture of assessment encompassing all functional areas of the College.Institutional planning incorporates our core values, mission and strategic goals into the evaluation, design and implementation of all aspects of the College’s operations, in order to make decisions and allocate resources in ways to best meet the College’s mission and goals.
Key components of planning at Westchester Community college include:
Strategic Planning:
“An institution conducts ongoing planning and resource allocation based on its mission and goals, develops objectives to achieve them, and utilizes the results of its assessment activities for institutional renewal. Implementation and subsequent evaluation of the success of the strategic plan and resource allocation support the development and change necessary to improve and to maintain institutional quality.” (MSCHE, Characteristics of Excellence in Higher Education, c. 2009, p. 4)
