Facility Rental Packages for Walks/Runs
SUNY Westchester Community College’s Valhalla campus is an ideal location for a walk/run event or community fundraiser during any time of year. On weekends, abundant and convenient parking combines with access to multiple pathways that provides event customization options. Plenty of green spaces allow for the addition of vendor tables and/or tents. For convenience, we have established walk/run rental packages according to the anticipated attendance. All packages include the use of college facilities for up to 24 hours, inclusive of setup and take down.
All facility rentals for walk/run events must comply with the following requirements:
- No use of roadways.
- No animals permitted, except for service animals.
- No routes that extend beyond college property lines, except if written permission is received from the neighboring municipality and adequate safety coverage is arranged.
- No distribution of alcohol/beer/wine.
- Tents are permitted using tent/canopy weights (absolutely no stakes). SUNY Westchester does not provide tents; tents must be arranged separately by the client.
Small events
Capacity: up to 499
Price:$3,380
Package Services Include:
- One (1) county police officer is required for the duration of the walk/run (not to include time for setup and takedown) and must be arranged directly with Westchester County (additional fees apply)
- One (1) ambulance is required for the duration of the walk/run and must be arranged directly with Westchester County (additional fees apply)
- The college will provide access to one (1) building in proximity to the event for access to restrooms
Medium events
Capacity: 500-999
Price:$5,300
Package Services Include:
- One (1) county police officer is required for the duration of the walk/run (not to include time for setup and takedown) and must be arranged directly with Westchester County (additional fees apply)
- One (1) ambulance is required for the duration of the walk/run and must be arranged directly with Westchester County (additional fees apply)
- The college will provide access to two (2) buildings in proximity to the event for access to restrooms
Large events
Capacity: 1,000+
Price:$7,540
Package Services Include:
- Two (2) county police officers are required for the duration of the walk/run (not to include time for setup and takedown) and must be arranged directly with Westchester County (additional fees apply)
- One (1) ambulance is required for the duration of the walk/run and must be arranged directly with Westchester County (additional fees apply)
- The college will provide access to three (3) buildings in proximity to the event for access to restrooms
All packages include the following standard or mandatory facility services
- The college will post your event name/logo on electronic signage at the college campus entry points (day of event)
- The college will provide security personnel for public safety and to welcome guests and assist by providing directions around campus
- The college will provide facilities and custodial personnel for setup, takedown, and assisting to keep outside and inside spaces clean
Optional Add-on Services
- Overnight indoor storage that is equivalent a standard classroom at the discretion of the Physical Plant/Security and approved/assigned in advance ($500)
- Overnight parking at the discretion of the Physical Plant/Security and approved/assigned in advance ($1,000)
- Setup of microphone, speakers, and/or media technology ($400)
