14 WESTCHESTER COMMUNITY COLLEGE OPPORTUNITY STUDENT PROFILE I came to the U.S. from the beautiful island nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines when I was 14-years-old. No one in my family had ever attended college, so I certainly had my doubts and trepidations when I decided to enroll at WCC as an adult student with 3 children. Once I enrolled I received notification about TRIO and I thought it was a miracle that I was special for them to seek me out. With the help of the tutors and workshops that TRIO offers, I have been succeeding beyond my wildest expectations. I have earned a 3.5 GPA, and have been serving as a tutor myself.
