Closing the Financial Gap to College Every student’s story is different, but the financial gap in paying for college is still apparent. Westchester Community College is the most affordable college in the county. Tuition is reasonable because of our considerable state, county, and federal funding. Students receive millions in financial aid and scholarships, too. Specialized Academic and Vocational Resources These offerings, tailored for those from disadvantaged backgrounds, are free. WEOC The Westchester Educational Opportunity Center provides eligible adults tuition-free developmental, educational, and vocational training programs in a supportive environment. This support provides students with the skills and credentials they need to pursue higher education and/or future their careers. EOP The State University of New York’s Educational Opportunity Program provides access, retains, and graduates first generation college students who have the potential to succeed despite minimal preparation and limited resources. TRIO TRIO provides opportunities for academic development, assists students with basic college requirements, and serves to motivate students toward the successful completion of their education. VIKING ROADS Viking ROADS helps motivated students graduate with an Associate Degree in three years or less. In exchange for full-time study and fulfilling program requirements, students will receive personalized advising, financial, and academic support.
