I am a freshman taking five classes here at SUNY Westchester Peekskill. I would want to see an educated world along with everyone having a healthy mindset and to help/give back to my community. As I was thinking about how I could help makethisbecome a reality I decided I would become an elementary school dual language teacher to help educate children from an early age so they can have a great future when they’re older. Teaching has been one of the careers that I have always wanted since I was younger when I played school and I pretended to be the teacher. SUNY Westchester Peekskill has helped me realize that teaching is what I want to do. Some advantages of taking classes at SUNY Westchester Peekskill are: a convenient distance (close to home); very diverse, meaning that youcan meet/ interact with both students and staff from different places; andtheprofessors are very helpful and understanding, meaning that they will always help you even if they taught the lesson the same day. Actualmente soy estudiante de artes liberales y ciencias sociales. Soy un estudiante de primer año que actualmente toma cinco clases aquí en SUNY Westchester Peekskill. Me gustaría ver un mundo educado junto con todos que tengan una mentalidad saludable y ayudar/devolver a mi comunidad. Mientras pensaba en cómo podía ayudar a que esto se convirtiera en realidad, decidí que me convertiría en maestra de doble lenguaje en la escuela primaria para ayudar a educar a los niños desde una edad temprana para que puedan tener un gran futuro cuando sean mayores. La enseñanza ha sido una de las carreras que siempre he querido hacer desde que era más pequeña cuando jugaba a ser maestra. SUNY Westchester Peekskill me ha ayudado a darme cuenta a lo largo del camino de que la enseñanza es algo que quiero hacer.
