Join us for a lesson on cooking and entertaining made simply delicious. We begin the evening at a librarylike intimate shop aptly named “The Study” with owner and sommelier Katie who will share her holiday specialty drink recipe with refreshing samples for you to try. We head next door to Happiness is Catering Back Country Market and Café to hear from Owner Christine as she discusses her “tricks of the trade”! Help her as she teaches us to make a few holiday ingredient inspired dishes such as; crispy sesame-ginger egg rolls with a sweet chili dipping sauce and savory bacon wrapped Parmesan Brussels sprouts. A show stopper lesson on butternut squash lasagna with caramelized onion and spinach topped with a Bechamel sauce. End our evening with the market’s famous "gingerbread men" cut-outs. Grab a friend to experience these mouth-watering dishes and discover the culinary secrets to make your holidays fun. Our lesson ends with a take-home surprise. Tonight, learn to make Farfalle alla Primavera – bowtie (or butterfly) shaped pasta with seasonal vegetables, sautéed in a classic aioli - olive oil and garlic sauce. Chef shares the easy to replicate recipe for their house-made bread pudding sure to be a hit on your holiday table. Learn to properly prepare pork tenderloin and a seasonal butternut squash risotto. A pear, maple syrup brown betty will send us off on a sweet note.
