Upon successful completion, participants will be eligible to take the industry recognized National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) Certifications in Measurement, Materials, and Safety and Job Planning, Benchwork and Layout. In this course, students will become familiar with the fundamentals of manual lathe machines, spindle speeds, feed rates and tools for centerline machining such as twist drills, taps and reamers. The goal of the CPT 4.0 certification program is to raise the level of performance of production technicians starting or advancing their career and to provide value to employers. The CPT Certification addresses the core technical competencies of higher skilled production workers in all sectors of manufacturing.
