Graduates of the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management program are prepared for employment in middle management positions such as assistants to: managers, supervisors of food production and service, event planners, caterers, stewards, banquet managers, rooms division managers, operations managers, purchasing agents, chefs, pastry chefs or bakers. With additional education and/or experience, upward mobility is unlimited.

As Chair of the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Program at Westchester Community College, I would like to welcome you. The Hospitality Industry is exciting and fast paced. You will experience hands on learning opportunities in our state of the art facilities that will prepare you for success. Our knowledgeable faculty are there to share their skills and insights as you advance through the curriculum. We encourage you to take advantage of every learning moment, inside and outside of the classroom

Graduates from the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Program have transferred to four-year colleges, while others have gone directly into careers in the Hospitality Industry. Students plan their own individual path and timeframe for success. Your instructors and staff are eager and willing to help you in any way that we can with your studies and overall college experience. About Westchester Community College

Financial Aid

Nearly 33% of Westchester Community College students receive some form of financial aid. Financial Aid is available to students who qualify. In addition, the Westchester Community College Foundation offers $1.6 million in scholarships annually.

Sports

The Westchester Community College Athletic Department sponsors thirteen different intercollegiate athletic teams in various sports. The roster of sports offered includes Men’s Baseball, Women's Softball, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Bowling, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Men's Golf, Men's and Women's Track and Field, Men’s Soccer, and Women’s Volleyball. We’re accessible: Public transit-friendly main campus and extension locations. Online classes for wherever you are. Valhalla (main campus); extension sites in New Rochelle, Mount Vernon, Yonkers, Shrub Oak, Mahopac, Ossining, Port Chester and Peekskill (Center for the Digital Arts) and White Plains (Center for the Arts).

After successfully completing your studies at Westchester Community College you can transfer almost anywhere, in-state or out-of-state. NYS residents are also guaranteed admission to a SUNY four-year campus.
