Radiologic Technology A.A.S.
Imaging technology is advancing fast, which puts radiologic technologists at the front and center of innovation. As the population grows and ages, demand for diagnostic imaging is projected to increase. Upon completion of the program, students are can sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) examination. When the examination is passed, the graduate will be granted a license issued by NYSDOH to practice Radiography.

The faculty of the Radiologic Technology Department of Westchester Community College welcomes you; we are delighted that you are considering a career in Radiology. It is a dynamic career with many opportunities. The heart of the program at Westchester Community College will always be caring, academic excellence and professionalism. The radiologic technology faculty is dedicated to working with you to achieve your academic and professional success. We aspire to provide an excellent educational experience that results in outstanding graduates that are prepared to assume roles in medical imaging and who are competent to advance to graduate education.
We are committed to effectively guiding you to become a radiologic technologist ready to meet today’s health care challenges. For over forty years the program has provided a vision for the future: that of providing the radiologic technology profession with academically-and clinically- competent radiographers who are able to take their place in an ever changing health care facility. The clinical and didactic components of the program promote a high standard of clinical practice, ensure safe radiation practice, and instill a commitment to patient safety and comfort with quality of care.
The Radiologic Technology Program at Westchester Community College is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and is recognized by New York State Department of Health. Our graduates are eligible to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists exam and for licensure for the NYS DOH. Graduates of the program are highly respected and serve in many capacities throughout Westchester County and beyond. Our Registry Exam pass rate consistently surpasses both the state and national benchmarks.
Once you are ready to enroll, it is essential that you meet with an academic counselor to select appropriate classes. The counselors will assist you in selecting the essential pre-requisite program requirements and explain how you can apply to our program. About Westchester Community College
Financial Aid
Nearly 33% of Westchester Community College students receive some form of financial aid. Financial Aid is available to students who qualify. In addition, the Westchester Community College Foundation offers $1.6 million in scholarships annually.
Sports
The Westchester Community College Athletic Department sponsors thirteen different intercollegiate athletic teams in various sports. The roster of sports offered includes Men’s Baseball, Women's Softball, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Bowling, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Men's Golf, Men's and Women's Track and Field, Men’s Soccer, and Women’s Volleyball. Transfer agreements vary by school, details are available online. After successfully completing your studies at Westchester Community College, you can transfer almost anywhere, in-state or out-of-state. NYS residents are also guaranteed admission to a SUNY four-year campus.
