Clinical Medical Assistant
CMAs perform administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Prepare for employment at physicians’ offices, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. Course topics include: preparing patients for examination and treatment, infection control, routine laboratory procedures, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology basics, phlebotomy and ECG computer applications, and EMR medical office procedures. After successful completion of the Clinical Medical Assistant course, students will receive a certificate of completion and are eligible for NHA certification (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant: CCMA). ECG and Phlebotomy Technician
Gain additional skills for routine patient care treatments including ECG, phlebotomy, simple lab tests, and infection control. Upon successful completion of the course, students are eligible to take certification exams offered by the NHA.
