Mercy University Dual Admissions Pathway Agreement

Dual Admissions Pathway Agreement Highlights:
Students who participate in the Dual Admissions Pathway Agreement and who graduate from WCC will be accepted to Mercy University based on the following conditions
- Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher for most programs; see agreement appendix for details.
- Grades earned in major courses must be at least a C or better to transfer. (See specific program for grade requirements.)
- Students must fulfill particular requirements, regarding GPA, prerequisites, clinical experience, etc. that may be in place for certain academic programs at the University, including Communication Disorders, Design and Animation, Music Production and Recording Arts, Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Social Work, and Veterinary Technology
- A maximum of 75 credits can be applied toward the completion of the articulated bachelor’s degree program from WCC.
- By virtue of completion of the A.A. or A.S. degree at WCC, students with at least 48 liberal arts credits will have the lower-level general education/core requirements substituted at Mercy University with the exception of pre-requisites that have not been fulfilled.
- Students in this program will have access to workshops, special events, and advising to help them transition smoothly to Mercy University.
Dual Admission Pathway Agreement Details:
- All students must take the junior seminar course at Mercy University.
- The Arts requirement must be a theory-based arts course, art/music history or appreciation to fulfill the Arts General Education requirement at Mercy.
- Statistics does not fulfill the Math general education requirement at Mercy University; see a Mercy University admissions advisor for exceptions.
- Students with an A.A.S. degree may have to take additional lower-level general education/core requirements at the receiving institution.

Please Note:
Students graduating from WCC who have not participated in the Dual Admissions pathway can still benefit from the program to program alignments and transfer scholarships as outlined below.

Mercy University offers the following Transfer Merit Scholarships to transfer students:

Must present proof of PTK/ABG membership. One time awards, non-renewable.
