SUNY Westchester Community College Scholarships
SUNY Westchester Community College has streamlined its scholarship process. For the majority of our scholarships, an application is not required. Our goal is to make it easier for more students to benefit from these awards. This process will allow the college to provide a comprehensive financial assistance package in a timelier manner. Students are encouraged to file annually and as early as possible. Awards will not be renewed without one of the appropriate applications on file. Our annual scholarships are awarded for Fall and Spring semesters. Awards are given to incoming students, continuing students, and graduating students.
To be considered for a Westchester Community College Foundation Scholarships:
- All students must file either a FAFSA (US Citizens and Permanent Residents), TAP (US Citizens and Permanent Residents), or the New York State DREAM Act Application (Dreamers, DACA or Undocumented) to be automatically considered for a Westchester Community College Foundation scholarship.
- International Students will have a separate application form. Please click on the following link to complete the Scholarship Financial Need form (F-1, Other Visa holders). If you are a DACA/Undocumented student who was rejected for the NYS Dream Act application (due to lack of documentation) then proceed to submit this form as well.

The scholarship award will be applied to your financial aid package and will remain in “anticipated aid” status throughout the beginning of the semester. After we verify enrollment eligibility disbursements will occur 4-6 weeks after the semester start date. The scholarship award letter will also provide instructions on how to submit the required “Thank You Letter”.
Apply for Emergency Aid:
The Westchester Community College Emergency Aid Grant was established to assist students who have sudden, unforeseen financial emergencies.
