Letter from the Director
Welcome to the Peekskill Center for the Digital Arts Youth Arts Technology Program
Your child will be able to explore STEAM and garner skills in digital filmmaking, imaging, 2D and 3D Animation, robotics, coding, game design, and painting and drawing, in-person in an industrial post-production setting or live remotely. In our in-person classes, students will be able to take advantage of our state-of-the-art facility, which has industrial level hardware and software and a fine arts studio. The Center for Digital Arts in the downtown artist district of the City of Peekskill has professional artists and designers teaching and technical support specialists supporting students both inside and outside the classroom.
Through interactive and engaging instruction, students will have the opportunity to produce portfolio pieces by the end of the program, showcasing their newly acquired skills and artistry. The Center for the Digital Arts Youth Arts Technology Program promises to provide a rich learning environment where children can explore their creativity and develop valuable skills in the intersection of art and technology.

Coding for Kids
Give your child the edge by having them engage in coding sequences of instructions that empower them to control robots and gaming interfaces. Students need to be able to write commands in the right sequences to communicate their instructions to others. Computer coding makes this possible and is a key 21st-century competency for children today. Students will code stories, animations, and games.
For ages 7-11. CE-COMP 2127PE, $190
NEW! Advanced Coding for Kids
This is an advanced class for coding skills. Students will use advanced coding techniques to move to the next level. The course will move on to using Python to do in-depth programming. This will give students the confidence to learn and engage in coding sequences of instructions that empower them to learn coding and programming interfaces. For ages 7-11. Pre-requisite: Coding for Kids CE-COMP 2279PE, $190
Robotics for Kids & Teens – 24 Hours
The Robotics for Kids & Teens course is designed to introduce youth learners to the exciting world of robotics, programming, and hands-on building. Through a series of interactive sessions, students will explore fundamental concepts of robotics, delve into programming basics, learn about robot components, build, and engage in creative projects. By the end of the course, students will have gained valuable skills in STEAM disciplines and developed a deeper understanding of robotics technology. For ages 9-13. CE-DGART 2139PE, $300
Teens Game Design
You play games on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and your mobile devices, but have you ever wondered how to build an interactive game? The gaming industry is an exciting, burgeoning field that requires both technical ability and creativity.
