These programs establish a foundation of biological, environmental, political and social sciences, as well as mathematics. Message from the Curriculum Chair
A degree in Environmental Studies is ideal if you are interested in a career helping to shape environmental policies. Such policies are necessary to tackle the important issues of global climate change, sustainability, natural resource management, and protecting ecosystems. It is a great time to enter this expanding field, and a degree from Westchester Community College is a great place to start.
The courses in the Environmental Studies program would provide you the foundation in biology, political science, earth science, and mathematics necessary to understand the important issues that are facing our planet. This interdisciplinary program would allow you to understand the dynamics of our natural world and to recognize how environmental policies can minimize the impact that humans have on the environment.

Sports
The Westchester Community College Athletic Department sponsors thirteen different intercollegiate athletic teams in various sports.
